A Curious Invitation present London Month of the Dead
Feast of the Dead
FEAST OF THE DEAD
The Halloween Cabaret Dinner
on Tuesday the 31st October 2023 from 7:30 pm

Halloween is a time where the doorway to the otherworld opens, allowing supernatural beings and the souls of the dead to enter our realm; It is when deceased spirits are thought to revisit their homes, seeking hospitality. So come and bid them welcome at our Feast of the Dead.

Traditional foods served worldwide in celebration of the dead, include: pan de muerto, circular cakes decorated with a cross from Mexico; koliva, a mixture of grains and seeds sweetened with honey in the Orthodox Church; Irish wake cakes, made from cream cheese and dried fruits; and Mormon funeral potatoes, a dish of cubed potatoes, with cheese, onions, cream sauce and a topping of butter. Century head chef Charlie Boyce will take his inspiration from these and other funereal dishes to create a delicious and original menu worthy of the dead.

Between the courses, guests living and deceased will be entertained by cabaret and circus acts, including neo-burlesque dancers, fire performers and a New Orleans jazz band.

* Please note, despite the carnal nature of our supper title, a plant based menu will be available.
