MYCELIUM AND MAUSOLEA
A Moonlit Foray into the Secret Life of Graveyard Fungi
with Mike Green At Highgate Cemetery Chapel
On Thursday 23rd October 2025 from 7:00 pm

Cemeteries are excellent habitats for wildlife, including fungi. Join us for a talk on the types of fungi you might expect to find in a graveyard, followed by a moonlight walk through Highgate Cemetery to get to know some of our fungal neighbours. We'll learn how to identify common species, explore the role of fungi in the ecosystem and human culture.

Mushrooms are mysterious. They capture our imagination like no other organisms. Perceived as live-giving, mind-blowing and deadly, they simultaneously inspire fear, wonder and confusion. Against the odds, fungi thrive in big cities like London too. Please note the walk element to this event is weather permitting.

Tickets £12.50 including a Victorian punch. Please click here to buy.
