TAMING THE BEAST
A Workshop on the Psychology of Fear with Britain Stelly
At Kensal Green Cemetery on the 14th October 2023 - 7:00 pm

This talk and workshop, led by Britain Stelly, is a unique opportunity to peek into the dark places of the mind, tame the beast within and interact with some incredible creepy crawlies.

Animal phobias are widespread with about 10% of us suffering from ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) and up to 6% experiencing arachnophobia (fear of spiders).

In workshop you will learn about the psychology of fear and phobias and how our survival brain often works against us in our modern-day context. You will also learn techniques on how to move beyond fear and anxiety and get your brain to work for you instead of against you.

Afterward, you will get a unique opportunity to put these techniques to the test with an opportunity to hold and interact with some fascinating invertebrates, such as tarantulas, tailless whip scorpions, giant millipedes, giant hissing cockroaches, and giant stick/leaf insects.

Tickets £15 including a 20% donation to a host of restoration projects at Kensal Green Cemetery. Please click here to purchase.
